Sense of self-love (SSL) is one of the three core senses targeted by Core Problem Analysis – the technique that Dr. Perepletchikova has developed to help heal the relationship with Self. (See our introductory discussion on Core Problem Analysis here.) SSL is the stable and enduring ability to connect to self-love as is, without conditions or requirements. Although it sounds similar, SSL is not the same as self-love, which is an instinct of self-preservation, an innate drive to care for one’s own well-being and protection. Dr. Perepletchikova details the differences, discusses the importance of developing the ability to connect to self-love, and lays out the dialectics of relationship with Self vs relationship with others. See the links below for more information on this topic.

AI in mental health: Where we’re at, and where we’re headed at warp speed

As we attempt to keep our finger on the pulse of the growing use of AI in mental health, (and its dialectic – how using AI impacts mental health), this month we’ll highlight some high-level, broadbrush clinical themes to stay informed on, with the accompanying links for a deeper read. Get ready to learn about Algorithmic Attachment, Simulated Sympathy and the danger of accepting emotional simulations as “good enough” therapy.

We Are The Comprehensive Training Center:

Expanding Global Access with Live and Asynchronous DBT Training

Our live training has become a worldwide movement. Clinicians from across the globe joined our first DBT Basics training, which was conducted in English with simultaneous Spanish translation. This level of international collaboration is at the heart of CTC’s mission. Seeing clinicians from different countries interact, share insights, and support one another is exactly what we set out to do. But we’re not stopping there!

We’re beyond excited to offer asynchronous courses—making DBT training more flexible and accessible than ever.  With the launch of our on-demand learning platform and website, clinicians have access to self-paced, high-quality DBT training anytime, anywhere. Whether you’re a seasoned professional looking to refine your skills or a newcomer exploring DBT for the first time, our courses and Resource Library Subscription are designed to meet you where you are.

See below and in subsequent newsletters for more details on our upcoming courses. The future of global DBT training starts now!
