Learning what to do is necessary but not sufficient for behavioral change. We also need to gain the capacity to apply the learning effectively. Dr. Perepletchikova discusses a technique called Core Problem Analysis (CPA) that helps increase our ability to function adaptively. CPA helps decrease the dependence of our relationship with Self on the relationship with external environment. Healing the relationship with Self allows us to achieve inner peace and maintain self-control regardless of life circumstances. This also facilitates an ability to practice non-attachment to outcome, which increases flexibility in decision-making and achieving goals, promotes freedom of choice and minimizes suffering caused by clinging to specific expectations and fears.

Ready or not, here comes AI companions

Right when the impacts of social media and smart phones on children’s mental health have been made clear through multitudes of data-driven research and through books such as Girls on the Brink by Donna Jackson Nakazawa and The Anxious Generation by Jonathan Haidt, along comes the AI tsunami. As child-focused clinicians and as parents/caregivers, whether we like it or not, we need to stay on top of this bullet train with the lens of impact to children’s healthy social, emotional and physical development.

We Are The Comprehensive Training Center:

Expanding Global Access with Live and Asynchronous DBT Training

Our live training has become a worldwide movement. Clinicians from across the globe joined our first DBT Basics training, which was conducted in English with simultaneous Spanish translation. This level of international collaboration is at the heart of CTC’s mission. Seeing clinicians from different countries interact, share insights, and support one another is exactly what we set out to do. But we’re not stopping there!

We’re beyond excited to offer asynchronous courses—making DBT training more flexible and accessible than ever.  With the launch of our on-demand learning platform and website, clinicians have access to self-paced, high-quality DBT training anytime, anywhere. Whether you’re a seasoned professional looking to refine your skills or a newcomer exploring DBT for the first time, our courses and Resource Library Subscription are designed to meet you where you are.

See below and in subsequent newsletters for more details on our upcoming courses. The future of global DBT training starts now!
